Wind Catcher Energy Connection is a major energy infrastructure investment that will deliver affordable clean energy. Investments of this scale generate regional and local economic benefits as well as jobs and opportunity throughout the supply chain.

$7 Billion in customer savings

The project is expected to save SWEPCO and PSO customers more than $7 billion, net of cost, over 25 years.

8,400 Jobs Supported During Construction

Construction of the wind facility and power line will support 4,000 direct jobs and an additional 4,400 indirect jobs annually, and 80 permanent jobs once operational. 

$300 million in Local Investment

Over the 25-year life of the project, the Wind Catcher Energy Connection will generate approximately $300 million in property taxes.
